Telugu Association of Metro Atlanta (TAMA) is a 39 year old Non-Profit Organization, established in 1981. Over the years it has grown and became an integral part of Indian Community in Metro Atlanta. TAMA’s main objectives are to preserve, maintain, and perpetuate the cultural heritage of the people of Telugu origin in the State of Georgia. Assist, propagate and advance cultural, literary, educational, arts, social, economic, health, and community affairs. Raise, solicit, collect, and disburse funds, charities, and donations for cultural, literary, educational, and charitable purposes (including natural disasters and accidents) either directly or in cooperation with other not-for-profit organizations in the U. S. and abroad.
TAMA organizes Cultural events on various items like dances, skits, plays, singing, mimicry, etc. They provide a strong platform to people of different ages, including kids. TAMA recognizes people who excel in various fields. Also bring such people from India to events, to inspire local people.
